Derived from a variant of our ever so popular checkered floor mats for the NA and NB Mazda Miata. A new colorway for those who seek discreet styling. Plain black mats are boring. We did it with a twist and added a 3D black wave plush pattern giving it a sophisticated look.

We spent our time deciding on all the intricate details. The most important of which is fitment.

While there are plenty of 90-97 mat fitments available, there aren't any for the beloved NB 99-05 platform.

Fret no more with properly fitting floor mats that fit both the NA and NB platform. No more bulging around the edges or getting caught at the footrest. Best of all, when you move from an NA to an NB, or vise versa, you can take these mats with you!

**Installation note**

 

Use a soft brush or your fingers to brush up the plush areas of the floor mats for enhanced 3D effect. The plush of the carpet is "squished" during shipping.

Chikara JDM Style Floor Mats Review

I recently purchased the Chikara JDM-style Black Weave Floor Mats for my NA Miata, and overall, I am content with my purchase.

What I Liked:
The color is a deep black that matches my interior perfectly, giving a clean and cohesive look.
The design pattern adds a sleek, subtle touch that enhances the overall look of the mats.
I also appreciate the addition of the hook ring,

What I disliked:
The overall quality in terms of the floor mat material itself, feels very similar to generic aftermarket black floor mats that I have purchased in the past, which was a bit underwhelming.
I personally feel the carpet thickness could be improved, and the design could be more embossed for a premium feel.
While I did mention that the hook ring is a great addition, my Miata didn’t come with a hook to secure it. (I’m considering installing a custom one to resolve this.)

Final Thoughts:
These floor mats look great and provide a nice aesthetic upgrade for the price, but in my opinion, the quality and grip could be better. If you’re looking for style over function, these are a solid choice, but some tweaks (like adding a floor mat hook) may help improve their practicality.
